Original scheduled for March, we had to reschedule due to complications from the winter storm.
Edye Brookshire is a songwriter and publisher and has had the privilege of qualifying and attending the Country Music Awards in Nashville twice. She qualified as an artist/singer, songwriter, as well as publisher. She’s had cuts that “Womans Point of View” recorded by Janet McBride and had a song stolen by Tammy Wynette. Edye has appeared in Local Community Theatres, stage acts and one act plays. She has shared the stage with Bill Mack, Wynn Stewart, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Hank Thompson, Ray Price, Waylon Jennings and many others. She has made several industrial commercials, has been in two movies and has appeared on several TV programs, including TV Dallas with J.R. Ewing and the cast. Edye currently performs with her band, Rolling Country.
Edye own’s a summer home situated on 10 acres in Oleta, Oklahoma where she has an outdoor 53 foot stage in the middle of a lush meadow. The first weekend of every month, she hosts the Big River Festival where touring singers, songwriters and musicians camp out in the meadow and perform on the stage. Everyone brings food for their community cook-out.
